Message from Timo Tolvanen – luthier and guitarist

I am thrilled to announce the arrival of the new Tolvanen JN316 and the Tolvanen Rapture. The development of these guitars has been a true labour of love and is the culmination of my lifelong journey into guitar tone and playability. The design of the new Tolvanen Rapture and Tolvanen JN316 followed extensive consultation with a whole host of wonderful guitarists including the legendary Rex Goh. The guitar I built for Rex is pictured. I also went through the time-consuming (but absolutely necessary) process of building numerous prototypes where I experimented with a variety of timbers, shapes, pickups, pickup configurations/placements, wiring, routing, nuts and hardware before I was satisfied. The result is two world class guitars that have unique richness, definition and depth that I believe will excite guitarists who are seeking to develop their own style and sound or those who simply crave classic pure tone. Play them side by side with any guitar and you will hear the difference. Play them and you will feel the difference. Like our slogan says, “Feel the Tone!”

2 Years Structural Warranty

For peace of mind, Tolvanen Guitars offer the original buyer 2 years structural warranty on any new Tolvanen Guitar and 12 months warranty on pickups and electronics. Of course, blatant abuse of the instrument will void the warranty. As I mentioned on my previous website - setting fire to it with lighter fluid or running over it with your ute will make the warranty null and void.
